Respite Care

What is Respite Care?

Respite is a short-term break for the parents or caregivers of a child with emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges.

You can relax knowing your child/children are in capable hands while you go shopping, have lunch with friends, or stay home for some quiet time.

Sometimes the behaviors your child demonstrates are so difficult nothing seems to work. Therapy is helping, but you need more help!

What we do

We are here for those moments when you need temporary relief from your caregiving responsibilities.

United Parents will provide a trained respite caregiver who will care for your child/children in or out of the home. At United Parents we view each call for service, not as babysitting, but instead as an opportunity to assist in your child’s development using fun engaging skill-building activities and interactions that promote socialization and improve self-esteem.

What to expect?

  • Time off.
  • Quiet time.
  • Child development.
  • Continued support.

Parents are invited to sign their children up for a FREE monthly excursion through our Respite Fun Events (child does not have to be a client).
