Parent Partners

What is a Parent Partner?

A Parent Partner is a certified peer support specialist who has raised a child with a mental, emotional or behavioral disorder.

They understand frustration, being blamed, losing hope, losing patience and all the challenges that go with raising children with mental health needs.

Every child deserves a loving parent and every parent deserves a helping hand.

What we do

The FAST Program is designed to help families overcome problems, which can result in crisis. Specifically, we work with your clinician to:

  • Help highly stressed families move toward a more peaceful, functional home.

  • Help families identify what is working, what triggers problems and brainstorm strategies to break the system of crisis.

What to expect?

  • Linkages to resources.
  • Connection with a supportive parent with lived experience.
  • Continued support.
