WHO WE ARE
We are parents supporting parents with guidance and education.
Parents With Purpose:
♥ Supports families involved in the child welfare system.
♥ Provides understanding and answers your questions.
♥ Promotes healthy, stronger families.
♥ Partners with our county Children & Family Services to improve the child welfare system.
Since 2001, Parents With Purpose has worked to bring parents together as one voice. This Parent Leadership Council works in partnership with professionals to improve the lives of Ventura County Families.
WHAT WE DO
Parents assist in the following areas:
Our parent volunteers answer telephones and address the many questions parents have as they work through the child welfare system. Many parents are involved with this system for the first time. Parent Leaders have lived with fear, doubt, and various challenges as they work to recover, rebuild their live and reunify their family .
We can serve as a non-threatening resource to those who may not know or understand their rights as parents, those who are unable to understand the legal documents and procedures.
We can let parents know what resources are available to them. We can be a support to you during court dates, TDMs (Team Decision Making ), and daily frustrations.
Parents with Purpose meets regularly to discuss and implement changes to help make our families successful.
Services are available in English and Spanish.

Our voices are being heard!
Parent Leaders are advisors and repre- sentatives on committees at local, state, and national levels.
We offer insights to social workers, other parents, foster parents, care providers, judges, attorneys, and others involved in the child welfare system. We address the challenges and barriers that families face.
We’ve been there. We understand.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Parents with Purpose is a part of a parent network dedicated to helping families be their best.
