Positions available
Position: Parent Partner HAT (bi-lingual preferred)
Description: A Parent Partner is the parent of a special needs child that has the experience of working with various systems on behalf of this child. You will be part of a team of a team that will assist the families in identifying their needs and role model new strategies in order to promote the families success. This is a peer to peer model.
Requirements:
- Parent of a special needs child (This is required)
- Personal experience/knowledge of juvenile justice, special education, children's family services, foster care systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Solution oriented
- Reliable transportation and insurance.
Position: Respite Care Provider
Description: United Parents provides respite care to families of children with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.
Requirements:
- Training available
- Participation in outings and other social activities
- This is not a babysitting service. You are required to interact with the child.
